Plot summary
Swiss police captain Martin Jakobi's daily battle in a corrupt system, is compounded when his current murder investigation ties into a mysterious mass suicide in the Jura Mountains. The trail of clues leads him to an ancient parchment that exposes a religious cover-up of epic proportions, with the power to change the course of the modern world. The film 12 Theses is freely based on the thrilling novel, 'Cruor', by Herbert Blaser. The action, largely set in Basel and Bern, Switzerland, expands to Italy and Spain in its search for a truth that began 2000 years ago in Palestine.

Great movie
A thrilling movie set in Switzerland and Italy. It really makes you realize how easy faith can be abused and manipulated if it falls into the wrong hands. The cast is very good and refreshing and the scenery gorgeous.
I love the cast, the scenery - the complexity of the film
The story might be a "Swiss Dan Brown", but I love the different approach to tell the story. It is clearly an independent style, but it doesn't matter. It is fresh, the cast is very special and plays very well. The story is not simple, not like "explain everything". One has to think, reflect, compare with one's own experience. For a believer who had trouble with conservative family and church members, it's also a bit like therapy.
