There are good movies and there are bad movies. I can't put this movie in to any of those categories. So my rating is also in the middle. Acting of everyone(mostly) is very good but the story is dragged for too long. It could have been a good movie if it was made within 100 minutes.
You can watch it but if you don't you are not missing out on anything.

Plot summary
Badrunissa (Badru) and Hamza are very much in love and decide to get married after Hamza gets a government job as Ticket Collector in Indian Railways but Badru's mother Shamshunissa isn't happy with her choice.Three years later things are not good between Badru and Hamza as he has turned alcoholic and frequently beats Badru and wants her to live according to him moreover also opposing the redevelopment plan of his building.Shamshunissa is very much aware of her daughter's daily abuse and wants her to return home but Badru lives with a hope that someday Hamza will change.Zulfi a common friend of Badru and Shamshunissa complaints to police about Hamza being a wife beater but in police station with his sweet talks Hamza convinces Badru to take the complaint back.On their way home Hamza attacks Shamshunissa and Badru is left to make a choice between her mother and husband following which she chooses Hamza forcing the mother and daughter to break ties with each other.Few days later Badru finds about her pregnancy and unites with Shamshunissa around the same time Hamza finds from Inspector Jadhav that Zulfi had complained against him and Badru is very much aware of it.Hamza suspects an affair between them and pushes Badru downstairs leading to her miscarriage but Badru does not stop here she decides to held Hamza captive in their house and torch er him the same way he did to her.

Dark Comedy without Comedy
Kudos to the team for choosing such topic. Vijay Verma was excellent. It was nice to see a built up towards Badru's anger to to the point she wanted to teach Hamza a lesson totally believable not expected from Bollywood but nice surprise. Now to the story it was promoted as dark humor but apart from 1 or 2 scenes i didnt find any comdedy. It was pretty straight forward story. There was nothing extra ordinary to lift the movie. It felt like a TV movie nothing more. Comedy can be best said to be an extinct art in Bollywood. Zulfi and Badru's mom character could have been explored more. Tons of dark comedy could hve been added. Anyways good step forward but needs more polish.

Good dark comedy
After longtime finding good dark comedy in Hindi without remakes is good reason to pickup this movie, as it holds a satisfying climax. The struggle to hold on to abusive relationship is so well crafted in the story and flushed awesomely by Alia. And a manipulative husband, and a lovable mother with her grim past. Make this movie a good one,

First, she did try to make him happy, she did try to make that drunken little fart less miserable, and create a happy family, and second, he was not worthy of her, she deserved a real man, and he deserved his manhood cut off and made to join a party of eunuchs. Loser husbands like him have all the courage of a kitchen mouse in front of outsiders, and have all the energy in the world to fight and argue with their wives and kids (unless those kids grow up and defend themselves and their mom).
