I'm giving this movie a few extra stars as I read some of the other low reviews and they are simply inaccurate. It's about teleportation, not time travel kids. The young leads do a really great job, Sam Jones hilariously chews up the scenery, and John James is a gleefully evil bad guy. It's a movie having fun with an old genre and I throughly enjoyed it. Maybe some of the younger viewers want darkness and irony but I don't. Many of the effects are pretty ropey but that never stopped me from enjoying the "Star Trek" or "Dr. Who" series.

This was an enjoyable, guilty pleasure to watch. I'm a huge fan of the 80's action, adventure movies & this movie is so well executed that it would fit perfectly with other movies of that time such as Remo Williams, Big Trouble in Little China etc. but on a smaller budget. So the CGI for the teleportation was cheesy but it didn't affect the overall enjoyment of the story. Lots of action & a story line that moves along quickly had me cheering for our heroes.
