An offense to cinematography
I gave it two stars only because the movie is NOT about communism, and that in itself is a plus for Romanian cinematography. Otherwise I would have given it 1 star.
Simply put, this is a movie about depression written by a guy who doesn't understand the first thing about depression. It's bad to the point that it becomes offensive to people who actually suffer from depression. The dialogue includes a LOT of misinformation regarding mental ilnesses and all in all, it makes no sense.
The movie is filled with situations in which the main character has to deal with incompetent doctors and police officers, but these situations do not reflect reality and are actually absurd and ridiculous. It's pure chaos, do not waste your time watching it.
Two hours wasted
A completely disappointing experience. I can only consider that this film represented two lost hours of my life.
I don't want to dispute the acting qualities of the protagonists, although there are also people who have nothing to do with acting (Smiley - singer, Natanticu - comedian, Cazacu - motorcyclist). The movie is extremely poorly acted, I can't notice any character.
There are numerous embarrassing scenes, all culminating with the "fight" at the end and the handcuffing of the main character by the police.
I try every time to give Romanian cinema a chance, but I always get frustrated.
