Plot summary

After his release from prison, bank robber Zequi sets off to recover the stolen money that was buried by his dizzy accomplice. He's horrified to learn that a high school gymnasium is now standing over the site where the loot is stashed. Needing to infiltrate the building, Zequi lands a job as a substitute teacher for a group of wild and unruly students. As the ex-con tries to lay down the law, he starts to realize that life in jail may have been easier than trying to deal with rebellious teens.

Meh

I usually have the 'opportunity' to see trailers on theaters almost every month and also catch tons of advertisement of the same matter even on Youtube adds. We're told to support national arts and cinema overall, but watching the kind of crap they have been producing, it's almost painful to bear.

This movie entertains, but sometimes it turns into some cringy moments where you can't find a place to hide, so you can avoid such shame. It's not different from other new mexican films like 'How to be a Latinlover', '3 Friends (also a remake)', or 'Treintona, Soltera y Fantástica': all just a bunch of insignificant movies, that you'd watch in a family night, just to pass the time, but nothing too serious. Besides, the plot is somehow unreal and absurd. I've never seen a high school where you can throw feces to your professors, or that kind of stuff. The humor was silly but not extremely ridiculous, I must admit.

The movie is not too bad to deserve a review, it's just that there's a wide distribution of these irrelevant and pathetic films in Mexico, instead of supporting the art, the cinema which is really worth it, and no one cares about.

pretty bad

this movies is just a cheap ripoff of a German movie trying to copy instead of being inspire by it, and just putting curse words on it just to try to make it funny. besides is just a bunch of movie clichés that have been done way better. save yourself some time. and go watch something better unless you are the type of guy that likes Adam sasler movies cause this one is just like that

Struggled to Find Any Laughs

Looks like I'm the lone wolf so far on this site as other reviewers liked this movie. However, I was hard pressed to find any laughs in this raunchy and farcical Mexican comedy, which, as others have noted, is filled with slapstick humor as well. Often, I just found the humor to be cringe worthy, and as it progressed I kept checking how much time was left before it was finally going to end.

Omar Chaparro stars here as an ex-con, just released from prison after serving a 13 month sentence for bank robbery. However, he soon will discover a local school has built a gymnasium over where his stripper friend had hid his money (must be speedy construction workers). So naturally, he'll soon be hired as a substitute teacher at the school, where he'll become a "role model" for the wild and delinquent students there during the day, while he drills through the gym floor at night to try and get to his money.

All in all, as is so often the case, just trying to be shocking and raunchy doesn't necessarily equal funny, and I could only find a couple of chuckles here in this film.
