A beautiful film

I managed to see this at a pre-release screening, and I hope it goes on to a cinema release as it's one of the most beautiful films I've seen in ages... a lovely, lovely film. It deserves to go big... obviously made with love, gorgeous camera work, amazing North Yorkshire scenery and a perfect cast. Take your family and see it if you can. It's a family film, could be a modern day Railway Children, or Swallows and Amazons.

France makes the best icecream

When Reith (Mark Addy) dies his three children bury him at sea and run away from their uncle Blythe (Lee Boardman) who recently got out of prison. The oldest daughter Angie (Molly Windsor) has an expensive family relic that Blythe believes he should own. The three children and two donkeys travel the back roads cross country to visit their mom (Tara Fitzgerald) relying on the kindness of strangers.

Not a lot of action. Kids talking about life and sleeping under the stars. Not a bad film. Could be worse. It could have Kristen Stewart in it.

Guide: No swearing, sex, or nudity.
