an obvious plot from the start

To Freedom was an obvious plot from the start. We already figured out what it was about, it was just a matter of how the story would unfold. Plus, the poor execution sadly damaged a potentially good movie

DELICIOUS

-It was great to see that the story zoomed in on the main character's psychology, which is something often disregarded in Nollywood screenplays

We got to see Tobi grieving his missing wife, being depressed, confused, and at times it felt like he was hallucinating. You could see his entire body and reasoning affected by his wife's absence

BLAND

--The film was described as a psychological thriller but there were no elements of it. Psychological thrillers possess traces of mystery, crime, and a dark atmosphere, there should be moments of terror and horror, but the film simply narrated the case of a man looking for his wife and traumatized by her disappearance

-The production was sadly sadly not well executed? The audio wasn't crisp, if not for the subtitles, it was hard to decipher what some of the characters were saying

-The chemistry among actors felt very rehearsed, e.g. Elvina Ibru and Jide Kosoko appeared to simply be repeating their lines

-The costume design, the costume design? It was an obvious promotion of Kamsiie Couture instead of adding depth to the characters. Beverly Osu playing a therapist was dressed as if she was going to a runway show rather than keeping in mind that she was a doctor

-The sound effects didn't instill any fear and the color grading was way too bright for a thriller genre

Ahhhhh...this movie could have been better scripted in order to bring something new and exciting to the table but alas....

Loved the movie

Omg, this movie reminded me if why I truly enjoy African movies. The acting as on point, the styling was high fashion, and the the twist caught me by surprise. Watched it twice already and told all my family to watch it. Looking forward to the sequel.

Real talk, although I truly enjoyed the movie...How in heaven's name did Tobi think that money could solve all his problems. He tried to buy the bank because the bank manager wouldn't help him. Clearly he had the police force in his back pockets, and he thought that it would buy his best friend's loyalty. This guy is delusional to say the least...just saying.

We're you not entertained????

Cause I sure was! I live in the states and I was highly entertained by this movie. The plot was somewhat predictable, but they hit us with a curve ball towards the end. Because I'm in the States there are some nuances and details that slip right past me. I only am aware of them from reading it her reviews.

The movie isn't a masterpiece, but the story moves fast enough to keep interest and the actors are beautiful. The fashion was interesting and attractive, but the hair and eyebrows needed a bit of work. I want to see a sequel.

The movie was the perfect length too! Just long enough. I was surely entertained.
